  Up to 16 channels are available for mono, or 4 stereo and 8 mono channels. Each channel's volume and frequency range may be adjusted to achieve the precise output desired. In addition, inputs from tapes, voices and/or musical instruments may be overlaid and mixed to create completely new program material.

  The highly flexible DMC-16 also has 8 channel "insert" inputs for devices such as expander/limiters and sound effects processors that allow the mono signal to be modified prior to it entering the primary mixer functions.

  Smooth channel slide faders are provided to allow seamless volume control of individual inputs. Frequency equalization is provided by lower, mid, and high range bands ranging from 80Hz to 12kHz with the mid range peaking response fixed at 2 octaves and the frequency at 2.5kHz.
